DAY 1: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT
Depart from the USA on an overnight flight. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
DAY 2: PRAGUE
Arrive in Prague where you'll meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel for check in. Enjoy a brief walking tour with your Tour Manager before tonight's meal.
DAY 3: PRAGUE
A local guide shows you the history of Prague today. Visit Hradcany Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Golden Lane, where alchemists tried to turn lead into gold. You'll also see the Charles Bridge and the Jewish cemetery, one of the oldest in Europe. This evening's highlight is a concert for the locals.
DAY 4: PRAGUE
Enjoy a day's excursion to Cesky Krumlov where a walking tour with your tour manager shows you Krumlov Castle and much more. After dinner at a local restaurant, present a concert in the Prague area (a venue in the Cesky Krumlov area may be substituted). Overnight in Prague.
DAY 5: KRAKOW
Today's drive takes you to Krakow. Visit the city’s old town and enjoy a short walking tour, featuring the Main Market Square, or Rynek Glowny for the locals. Laid out in 1257, it is the largest medieval market square in Europe. You’ll also visit Wawel Castle before tonight's highlight... a folklore dinner with entertainment!
DAY 6: KRAKOW
Early this morning depart for Auschwitz, a grim reminder of the Nazi atrocities during World War II. The tour takes approximately 3 hours, followed by a short visit to Birkenau where many perished in its gas chambers. This afternoon you’ll have a pinic/packed lunch, as lunch options are limited near the concentration camps. Return to Krakow for a rehearsal, followed by tonight's concert. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
DAY 7: ZAKOPANE
Depart this morning for Zakopane with a stop first in Wadowice for a visit of Pope John Paul II's birthplace and museum. Continue to Zakopane for check in at the Hotel Kasprowy. Located in a valley in the high Tatra mountains, Zakopane is Poland's premier winter resort, and so boasts a wealth of restaurants and cafes.
DAY 8: BUDAPEST
Drive from Zakopane to Budapest today with a stop en route for lunch. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour upon arrival. Learn about Hungary's thousand-year history during a guided tour of Castle Hill, including Matthias Church. Enjoy a bit of free time to wander the cobble-stoned streets of old Buda and proud Danube bridges. Tonight features a special Hungarian gypsy dinner!
DAY 9: BUDAPEST
Today's excursion takes you to the beautiful, small town of Szentendre. This baroque town is famous for its Hungarian artists, and features many galleries, museums and monuments. After dinner this evening perform a concert.
DAY 10: BUDAPEST
Today’s full-day excursion takes you to lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. The southern shore holds sandy beaches, while the northern shore is marked by a chain of eroded volcanoes. The area comes alive during the summer time and offers water sports and charming town life. You’ll have time to explore the area on your own before returning to Budapest for dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 11: RETURN TO THE USA
Transfer to the Budapest airport for your return flight to the United States.
