Itinerary

DAY 1: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT
Depart from your gateway aboard an international flight. Dinner and breakfast are served onboard.

DAY 2: FUSSEN
Arrive at Munich Airport. Meet your Tour Manager and your Bus Driver. Transfer to Füssen for check-in at your centrally located hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax, unpack and explore Füssen’s Old Town. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: FUSSEN
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion with your Tour Manager through the Bavarian Alps. First visit Linderhof Castle, one of King Ludwig’s summer residences. Enjoy a guided tour with a local licensed English speaking guide. Independent lunch. Then travel to Ettal and visit one of Germany’s largest cupolas in Abbey Church Ettal. Continue through the Bavarian Alps via Garmisch, Partenkirchen, Reutte, and back to Füssen. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 4: FUSSEN
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. Transfer to the Weiskirche, Bavaria’s most famous Pilgrim’s church, for rehearsal followed by your participation in liturgical services (evening concerts are also possible). Free time for lunch before visiting King Ludwig’s most famous quarters, the Castle Neuschwanstein, erected in the style of an original middle-aged castle. Enjoy a guided tour and sing an a-cappella number from your repertoire in the great acoustics of the “Sängersaal”, a copy of the famous Sängersaal in Eisenach’s Wartburg Castle where Richard Wagner’s opera “Tannhäuser” takes place. Return to Füssen in time for dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: FRANKFURT
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. Hotel check-out and transfer to Rothenburg, one of Germany’s most famous medieval towns, located along the “Romantic Road”. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Rothenburg with your Tour Manager. You will see the imposing town hall, the narrow lanes and the Protestant Church “St. Jakobskirche” with its world-famous altar by Tilman Riemenschneider. Free afternoon­buy some Christmas decorations in “Käthe Wohlfahrt’s Christmas Shop”, where it is Christmas 365 days a year. Continue to Frankfurt for check-in to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6: FRANKFURT
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. Enjoy a morning guided tour of Frankfurt, one of Germany’s commercial and financial centres. You will see historical Frankfurt with its Gothic Cathedral, the Town Hall Römer and the Old Bridge Eiserner Steg over the river Main. You will also see modern Frankfurt (sometimes called Mainhattan) with its Commerzbank Tower skyscraper, the tallest in the European Union. Enjoy the view from the 58th floor of the Main Tower. Enjoy an independent lunch and have your afternoon at leisure for your own activities. In the late afternoon, transfer to the Koppern Church to prepare for this evening’s concert performance. After the concert there will be a Get Together Dinner Buffet with the local choir in the Fellowship Hall. Transfer back to your accommodations. Night in Frankfurt.

DAY 7: LEIPZIG
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. Following breakfast, continue to Leipzig. En-route, stop at Eisenach. Visit the famous Wartburg Castle with Luther’s Room, where he translated the New Testament into German language, and the ORIGINAL Sängersaal of Wagner’s Opera Tannhäuser. Independent lunch in Eisenach. In the early afternoon visit Johann Sebastian Bach’s Birthplace in Eisenach. Continue to Leipzig. Check-in to your booked accommodation and have dinner at a local restaurant. Night in Leipzig.

DAY 8: LEIPZIG
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. This morning enjoy a guided city tour of Leipzig with a local licensed English speaking guide. You will see St. Nikolai Church and St. Thomas Church (including admission), where Johann Sebastian Bach served for 27 years as Choirmaster of St. Thomas Choir School! In St. Thomas Church, you will also find Bach’s final resting place. You will then visit the Bach Museum next to St. Thomas’s Church (including admission). Independent lunch. Spend your afternoon at leisure for your own activities. Dinner at a local restaurant. Night in Leipzig.

DAY 9: LEIPZIG
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. After breakfast take a full day excursion to Halle. Please bring all your concert clothes with you! Halle is the city where George Friedrich Händel was born! Enjoy a tour of Halle with a local licensed English guide that includes the Händel Museum (his birthplace), where you will experience a musically accompanied guided tour. You will see also the Marktkirche, where Händel was taught playing the Organ by his teacher Friedrich Zachow, and the Cathedral, where Händel was organist. Enjoy an independent lunch and the afternoon at leisure for own activities. In the late Afternoon, continue to this evening’s possible venue­the Protestant Parish Church Holleben. Preparing time for your concert. This evening is your CONCERT in the Protestant Church Holleben. Organ and E-Piano are available. After the concert have dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer back to your accommodation. Night in Leipzig.

DAY 10: RETURN TO THE USA
Buffet breakfast at your accommodation. After breakfast, transfer to Berlin Airport. Depart for the USA.
