Itinerary

DAY 1: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT
Depart from the USA on an overnight flight. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

DAY 2: SALZBURG
Arrive in Munich where you will be met by your tour manager. Transfer to Salzburg, the musical city of Mozart, and check in at your hotel. This evening, you will have a tour orientation and welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: SALZBURG
Your guided sightseeing tour will present to you a city of proud princes and archbishops; entrances include Mozart’s house, the Sound of Music churchyard, and a funicular ride up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress. This afternoon is free to stroll along the medieval streets or to savor strudel at a local café! Prepare for your first concert performance this evening.

DAY 4: VIENNA
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to the great Baroque abbey-palace of Melk, which Napoleon used as his headquarters. In the afternoon, board a boat and cruise along the Danube as you continue to the musical capital of the world, Vienna, for dinner and the overnight.

DAY 5: VIENNA
Your morning sightseeing shows you the splendors of the city; highlights include the Schönbrunn Palace, the magnificent buildings around the Ringstrasse, the Opera House and the Hofburg. In your free afternoon why not explore one of the city’s fine museums? Your ensemble’s second performance will be this evening.

DAY 6: Budapest
This morning journey through rich orchards and vineyards to the Hungarian capital of Budapest. On arrival, learn about Hungary’s thousand-year history during a guided tour of Castle Hill, including Matthias Church. This evening enjoy a traditional gypsy dinner!

DAY 7: BUDAPEST
Today is free to explore the city’s graces from its medieval buildings to its charming cobble-stoned streets. Why not visit the Historical Museum of Budapest, which contains archaeological remains of the old city, as well as furnishings, glass and ceramics from the 15th century. Perform in the city this evening.

DAY 8: BRATISLAVA
Depart for the Slovakian capital of Bratislava this morning. On arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy an orientation of the area with your tour manager. Dinner will be in a local restaurant this evening.

DAY 9: BRATISLAVA
After breakfast, you will have a morning sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights followed by lunch and free time on your own. In the afternoon, prepare for your next performance; options include a joint concert with a local choir.

DAY 10: PRAGUE
Drive north to arguably the most beautiful city in Europe, Prague. On arrival, check in to the hotel and begin exploring the Czech capital.

DAY 11: PRAGUE
Your morning guided tour will include Hradcany Castle with its Archbishop’s Palace (setting for the movie Amadeus), the 14th century Charles Bridge and the checkerboard streets of medieval Prague in Prague Old Town. Your final concert performance will be today. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner cruise along the River Vltava as you see the city’s highlights illuminated at night.

DAY 12: RETURN TO THE USA
