Encore is seeking video submissions from young travelers for a new 2008 contest. If you are ready to depart on your Encore Tours trip, don’t forget to pack your video camera! Once you get back, we’re positive you’ll have hours and hours of great video footage, so we want to see it.

If you pick one specific experience from your trip, edit your footage into a complete video and then send it to us, you’ll be in the running to win some great prizes!

4 entries will be chosen and proudly displayed on our website.

• 2nd Place- $200 to Amazon.com
• 3rd Place- $100 to Amazon.com

The Theme

We want you to be a Traveler, not a Tourist. Once you return, take a look at the footage from your trip and think back on the experiences you had. Did you capture what your audiences looked like at each performance, or your conductor's face as you completed your solo? What made performing abroad different than performing at home? Was there a specific performance that opened your eyes to another culture or place? Be our guide to your adventure!

But Wait, There are Some Guidelines!

The 2008 Encore Tours Video Contest is open only to 2008 Encore Tours travelers. All videos submitted must be the original work of the Encore traveler submitting them.

• Judging will be based on creativity and effectiveness in communicating the overall theme with specific experiences from your Encore tour. We recommend a 3-5 minute running time.
• Please send us a DVD copy in the mail, as well as uploading your video submission to our YouTube group.
  • With your hard copy submission, remember to include the following information:
    • Your name and Encore Tours/ACIS Account ID number
    • Your school/group name
    • Your group leader’s name
    • The name of your trip
• Tag your YouTube video with “Encore Traveler."
• Once we receive your hard copy, we’ll approve your YouTube submission in our group.

Future Encore Tours advertising and publicity material may include videos submitted to the contest. By entering the contest you consent to the use of your video and video likenesses.

We are accepting submissions for the 2008 contest between April 1st and August 15th. The winners will be announced on September 5th, 2008.
