Raising Money to Fund Your Tour

Planning a performance tour is both a rewarding and daunting task. Asking a large group of people to come up with a significant amount of money can be particularly intimidating. But with Encore Tours' Fantastic Fundraiser, available to every group who travels with us, this task becomes much easier.

Fantastic Fundraiser Details
Each group traveling with Encore receives, at no cost, a five-day trip to London for two. You can use this trip as a raffle to raise money for your group—there’s no faster, easier way to make money. If you'd prefer not to run a raffle, you can also easily run a silent auction with the Fundraiser trip for two to raise funds for your group.

We guarantee a winner from every community, so you know someone buying your tickets or bidding on your trip will win. You run the entire process (whether that be a raffle and drawing or an auction), so there is no limit to how much you can raise. Winners travel over Veterans Day or Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend. The trip includes roundtrip airfare to London, 3 nights accommodations in London, and a daily continental breakfast.

Other Ways to Raise Money
There are so many opportunities and avenues to raise funds toward your performance tour. Some of the most lucrative are those that empower everyone on the trip to get involved personally and reach out to their contacts. From auctions to recipe books, our groups have found creative ways to ensure everyone goes abroad—with a little extra spending money to boot. Our Encore Tours staff can help you brainstorm fundraisers that work well for you and your needs, and can share numerous success stories from past groups.

Personally Speaking
John De Chiaro, The Carlow Choir
Three Outstanding Things about the Raffle
“The raffle helped us in three ways. First, it gave our group good publicity; we were advertising our name all over town with the raffle. Second, It really unified our group because we were working together toward a common goal. Lastly, it helped us raise $12,000 that we were able to use toward the cost of the trip.”

Funny Story
"We sponsored a booth at a fair in a small rural town where we sold tickets. While one of us was playing the guitar a man came up to him and asked about the raffle. He told him it was a trip for two to London. The man said, 'Well I don’t like to fly but is there a train that goes to London?'"

Raffle Event
"We had a recording session which 128 people attended. We recorded a CD and then afterwards we raffled off the tickets. In the end of it all we were able to give out a fantastic trip and then we were offered a recording contract with the company we had recorded with. What a celebration!"

Final Stats
In the end, The Carlow Choir sold $12K in raffle tickets for their performance tour.  They ultimately received a recording contract with Centaur Records, Inc., Baton Rouge, LA!

Increasing Group Size
“Encore’s Fundraiser is by far the best method we have used to allow singers to experience the gift of travel," says Susan DeMars, an Encore Tours Group Leader from Oregon. "Most singers raise a significant amount of money, but we have had several singers almost completely fund their travel by actively selling the raffle tickets to friends, family and the public. I can’t say enough about this Fundraiser as it significantly contributes to the number of singers who can now tour with the Oregon Children’s Choir and Youth Chorale."

Sue Beadle, Queensbury Madrigal Singers
This Song is Dedicated to the One I Love...
"One of the best ways that we have raised money is to sell dedications. For each concert, we sell $5 dedications. Those dedications are sold by individuals as they see fit, and by the group at concerts. The sponsor pays $5 and we add their name to the list for a specific venue. They could, for example, dedicate the concert in Florence and Rome for a total of $10. We use the names to create scrolls with all the names for each venue. Upon arrival, we post the scroll and then leave it posted at the concert site. There is no cost involved, we raised almost $2,000 and the community members really felt like they were a part of the action."
