The Real Ambassadors, an award-winning jazz choir from Connecticut will sing their hearts out on July 31st when they perform for the world at the Main Bandstand in Olympic Park. The choir, comprised of 14 students from the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, auditioned for the Olympics nearly a year ago. Encore sent the group’s video to LOCOG, the organizing committee responsible for choosing, managing and scheduling the London 2012 Games. When the group was selected to perform, they were beyond thrilled. For the majority of the choir members, this once-in-a-lifetime trip to London will be their first experience on a plane! With just two months to fundraise, the group held performances and posted videos to YouTube in order to garner financial support from their community and beyond. Together, they were able to raise an astounding $66,000.
