In my opinion, Boston is one of the best places to be on the 4th of July. The city is so alive: the crowds watching the USS Constitution turn around in the harbor, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flying overhead, and best of all, the Boston Pops Orchestra performing on the Esplanade in conjunction with the spectacular fireworks show. Spectators come by the thousands to scope out a good picnic spot along the Charles River and await the show. The Boston Pops show is legendary and being there in person is an unforgettable experience. I think it’s fantastic that orchestral music is the chosen genre for this huge celebration in Boston!
