Sing in the heart of Prague, one of the world’s most breathtaking musical cities, during a festival that unites artistry, culture, and community. In 2026, participants will come together to perform Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem), a powerful and moving masterwork that will elevate this already extraordinary experience. The edition will be confirmed in collaboration with Festival Music Director Anthony Blake Clark.

This exceptional program welcomes choirs, directors, and individual singers for a transformative musical journey, culminating in a headline performance at the historic Rudolfinum. Through masterclasses, rehearsals, and performances, participants will refine their craft under the guidance of Anthony Blake Clark and Festival Consultant Director Simon Halsey, who will also lead repertoire sessions, a dedicated conductor workshop, and offer one-on-one mentorship to a select group of directors.

About Simon Halsey

One of the most respected choral leaders of our time, Simon Halsey has dedicated his career to shaping the modern choral landscape. He has been Chorus Master of the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus for over 30 years, and has been Chorus Master for the London Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, Conductor Laureate of the Berlin Radio Choir, and a celebrated mentor for choirs, conductors, and professional ensembles worldwide.

Known for his transformative approach to choral leadership, Simon has worked alongside some of the world’s most renowned conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado, and Daniel Barenboim. His expertise in choral-orchestral collaboration, vocal technique, and artistic direction makes him an invaluable resource for conductors and singers alike.

As Festival Consultant Director for Encore Voices Prague, Simon will provide a personalized one-to-one advice session with selected conductors, as well as an exclusive online Q&A with participants.

About Anthony Blake Clark

Anthony Blake Clark is an accomplished choral conductor and educator, known for his dynamic leadership and inspiring artistry. As Festival Music Director for Encore Voices Prague, he will lead rehearsals, masterclasses, and the headline concert at the Rudolfinum, guiding singers and ensembles through an unforgettable musical journey.

Clark is currently the Artistic Director of the New York City Master Chorale, where he has conducted critically acclaimed performances of major choral works. With a passion for choral excellence and education, he has worked extensively with both professional and student ensembles, bringing out the best in singers of all levels.

At Encore Voices Prague, Clark will direct mass rehearsals, lead one-on-one conducting workshops for directors, and shape a transformative performance experience for all participants.
