After landing in Munich you'll head east to Salzburg, one of the most picturesque cities in Europe. Spend the next 3 nights in this city of Mozart exploring its musical history, castles, cathedrals, rivers and gardens. You'll have the opportunity to perform at a local school and visit one of the region's salt mines with an underground lake before heading east to Vienna. The capital city of Austria and historical center of the musical world is a must-visit for any musician. You'll tour the Opera, Schönbrunn Palace and Stephansdom and take a trip to Eisenstadt, home of Joseph Haydn.

Your Tour Manager will meet you upon arrival in Munich and transfer you to the hotel in Salzburg, Austria. Located in the Salzach River Valley, Salzburg is one of the most picturesque of all European cities - indeed, it is all of Europe in concentrated form with a castle, cathedral, squares, gardens, spires and rivers. During the Holy Empire, it was called the northern Rome, due to the importance of the Prince Archbishops and the Baroque. The city's reputation is based on a living musical tradition being the city of Mozart. Its beauty and vibrant musical life have made it one of Europe's foremost cultural cities. Enjoy dinner in a restaurant this evening before turning in for a good night's sleep!
After breakfast, provided each morning of your tour, you'll enjoy a half day walking tour through the historical town to see the Mozartplatz, the cathedral, Pegasus Fountain, and Mirabell Gardens. You also visit Mozart's Birthplace before taking the funicular up to the fortress that dominates the city. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the venue for your rehearsal. This evening, perform your first concert in Salzburg! Dinner will be in a local restaurant this evening.
This morning, present your next performance at a local school in the Salzburg area! In the afternoon, you will visit one of the region's salt mines at Hallein. Here you will learn all about the history and importance of salt or "white gold" on a guided tour. Descend into the mine on slides and then board a boat for a trip on an underground lake. Afterward, return to Salzburg for time on your own and dinner together at a restaurant.
Check out of the hotel and journey east to the Austrian capital of Vienna, the historical center of the musical world and a must-visit for any musician. En route, stop in the town of Melk to visit the wonderful Abbey. An informal performance opportunity may be possible. Continue on through the picturesque Wachau Valley and on arrival to Vienna, check in to the hotel. Dinner will be in a restaurant this evening.
Vienna is the historical center of the musical world and a must-visit for any musician! Also, being a UNESCO heritage city, Vienna is rich in architectural wonders from the great Stephansdom and Baroque castles to the 19th century Ringstrasse lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks. Your morning panoramic guided tour will include the highlights of the city including the Stephansdom, Vienna Opera and Hofburg Palace. Enjoy lunch on your own and then take a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace. Today, you will give your final concert performance! Dinner will be in a local restaurant.
Today journey to Eisenstadt, home of Joseph Haydn. Enjoy a guided tour through the Esterházy Palace including the 17th century "Haydnsaal" with its wonderful acoustics. An informal performance may be possible. Entrance is also included to the Haydn Mausoleum. Return to Vienna for some last-minute exploring and enjoy a special farewell Heurigen dinner this evening.
