Your Tour Manager will meet you upon arrival in Munich and transfer you to the hotel in Salzburg, Austria. Located in the Salzach River Valley, Salzburg is one of the most picturesque of all European cities - indeed, it is all of Europe in concentrated form with a castle, cathedral, squares, gardens, spires and rivers. During the Holy Empire, it was called the northern Rome, due to the importance of the Prince Archbishops and the Baroque. The city's reputation is based on a living musical tradition being the city of Mozart. Its beauty and vibrant musical life have made it one of Europe's foremost cultural cities. Enjoy dinner in a restaurant this evening before turning in for a good night's sleep!
After breakfast, provided each morning of your tour, you'll enjoy a half day walking tour through the historical town to see the Mozartplatz, the cathedral, Pegasus Fountain, and Mirabell Gardens. You also visit Mozart's Birthplace before taking the funicular up to the fortress that dominates the city. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the venue for your rehearsal. This evening, perform your first concert in Salzburg! Dinner will be in a local restaurant this evening.
Check out of the hotel and journey east to the Austrian capital of Vienna, the historical center of the musical world and a must-visit for any musician. En route, stop in the town of Melk to visit the wonderful Abbey. An informal performance opportunity may be possible. Continue on through the picturesque Wachau Valley and on arrival to Vienna, check in to the hotel. Dinner will be in a restaurant this evening.
Vienna is the historical center of the musical world and a must-visit for any musician! Also, being a UNESCO heritage city, Vienna is rich in architectural wonders from the great Stephansdom and Baroque castles to the 19th century Ringstrasse lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks. Your morning panoramic guided tour will include the highlights of the city including the Stephansdom, Vienna Opera and Hofburg Palace. Enjoy lunch on your own and then take a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace. Today, you will give your next concert performance! Dinner will be in a local restaurant.
Today journey to Eisenstadt, home of Joseph Haydn. Enjoy a guided tour through the Esterházy Palace including the 17th century "Haydnsaal" with its wonderful acoustics. An informal performance may be possible. Entrance is also included to the Haydn Mausoleum. Return to Vienna for some last-minute exploring and enjoy a Heurigen dinner this evening.
Depart Vienna this morning and enter into the Czech Republic. En route, stop in the charming town of Telc for some free time to explore on your own and have lunch. Continue to Prague and on arrival check into your hotel. Have dinner together this evening at a local restaurant.
This morning take a guided sightseeing tour of historic Prague on foot beginning with the Castle district. Continue past the Old Royal Palace and St. Vitus Cathedral as you make your way to the Old Town. Spend the afternoon in preparation during a rehearsal. Tonight, perform your final concert in Prague! Have dinner together in a local restaurant.
Explore the city of Prague further today with a guided walking tour of the Jewish Quarter on foot. You will have the opportunity to visit the Jewish Museum at the end of the tour. Take the afternoon to buy some last minute souvenirs before boarding a boat on the Vltava River for a farewell dinner cruise! Celebrate your successful concert tour as you watch the illuminated monuments pass by.
