This 9-day itinerary takes you across Iceland's breathtaking landscapes from the southwest coast of Reykjavík up north to the second largest city in Iceland, Akureyri. You'll visit some of Iceland's geological sites and have ample time to explore the cities and perform!

Upon your arrival to Keflavík Airport, pick up your luggage and meet your Encore Tour Manager in the arrivals hall. You will make a stop nearby the airport for a delicious breakfast buffet. Continue on to the Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland's greatest treasures! This geothermal spa is known for its wonderful skin healing powers and offers heated waters ranging from 98-102 degrees fahrenheit. Afterward, continue on to Reykjavík and check in to your hotel. This afternoon you will have some free time to explore on your own, followed by an arrival briefing to discuss the details of your tour. Enjoy dinner together at a nearby restaurant before turning in for a good night's sleep!
Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel, provided each morning of your tour. Then, depart on a panoramic city sightseeing tour with a local guide! You will journey inside the Pearl, a remarkable building with a glass dome that offers breathtaking views of the city and beyond. Next, visit Hallgrímskirkja, the famous church at the top of the city. Continue down the waterfront towards the Harpa. Since it's grand opening in 2011, Harpa Hall is considered one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world. After your tour, you will enjoy a free afternoon at your leisure. Tonight, rehearse and perform your debut concert at a local venue! Then have dinner together.
A full day excursion takes you around the Golden Circle including the Hveragerdi geothermal town; the extinct volcano of Kerið; Iceland's ancient cultural center at Skálholt; Strokkur geysir; Gulfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park to see the mid-Atlantic ridge. Lunch will be provided at a restaurant. An informal concert may be possible today at the Skálholt Bishopric Church. Return to Reykjavík for the night.
Board your motorcoach for the day drive towards Akureyri, the second largest settlement in Iceland. Drive along the Western coast where you will pass the Grábrókarhraun lava fields with a great view of Mt. Baula. Comfort stops will be made along the way. Descend into the Öxnadalur valley and on to your final destination. Upon arrival in Akureyri, check-in to your hotel and have dinner as a group.
In the morning, you will take a walking tour of the area with your Tour Manager. Visit the Akureyrarkirkja, the church at the top of the hill! Inside, there are beautiful stained-glass windows which show scenes from Icelandic history. Continue on to see Nonnahús, the former home of Reverend Jón Sveinsson, famed author of "Nonni" children's books in Iceland. You will have free time for lunch and exploration. Tonight, reconvene for your next rehearsal and performance at a local venue! Then, have dinner together.
Today, you will take a day excursion to Lake Mývatn! Created over 2,000 years ago by a basaltic lava eruption, the lake is now home to a large selection of waterbirds and is surrounded by volcanic landscapes. You will also visit the famous mud pots where it is said to look like you are walking on the moon! On your way back to Akureyri, visit the Goðafoss waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in all of Iceland. Arrive back in the city and have dinner as a group.
Today, you will return to Reykjavík for your final night. You will have free time to explore and pick up last-minute souvenirs. Tonight, you will have a special farewell dinner to celebrate your successful performance tour of Iceland!
