Welcome to the Big Apple, one of the greatest cities on earth! With the best of everything — food, culture, shopping — there's a new adventure waiting for you everywhere you go. See world-class entertainment at a Broadway show, hone your musicianship in a 1hr clinic with a local professional musician and perform on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid (or other local venue). A concert by the world-famous New York Philharmonic, a special New York Harbor dinner cruise and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum are just some of the highlights of this itinerary.
Board your deluxe coach bus for the Big Apple! Upon arrival, meet your Encore Tour manager and enjoy some free time for shopping and browsing. This evening have dinner at a local restaurant and be dazzled by the lights of a Broadway show (pending availability). Afterwards check in to your hotel in nearby Secaucus NJ.
After breakfast, provided each morning, enjoy a clinic with a member of the music faculty at New York University. Hone your musicianship in a 1 hour session specifically dedicated to your ensemble. This afternoon, visit the 9/11 Museum and Memorial and learn more about the events of that infamous day. Tonight, take a special Statue of Liberty dinner cruise around New York Harbor. Experience the best views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines including world-famous sights like the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, One World Trade Center and more (pending confirmation). Your cruise includes onboard entertainment with DJ music, access to shared spaces and interactive games.
Today's highlight will be your performance on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid. After your concert take some time to explore this historic aircraft carrier. The Intrepid served in the U.S. Navy for over three decades and played a role in World War II, the Cold War, the Space Race and the Vietnam War. After this storied career, Intrepid was decommissioned in 1974 and later opened as a museum, where the history of the ship and its crew inspires visitors from all over the world. (Other performance options also available). This evening have dinner as a group then enjoy a performance by a world-ensemble such as the New York Philharmonic or Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel this morning. Start your day with a tour of Ellis Island to learn about the over 12 million immigrants that made their way through this historic site. Then head to see the Statue of Liberty where you climb to the top of the pedestal. Afterwards board your buses or flight for the return trip to home.
