The mystical lost city of Machu Picchu highlights this 8-day Peruvian adventure. Your journey begins in the capital of Lima where you’ll visit the San Francisco and Santo Domingo monasteries, have free time to wander the city on your own and enjoy your first two performances. Then it’s a flight to Cuzco, the historic capital of the Inca empire and the oldest city in the Western Hemisphere. The next four days will be spent in The Sacred Valley, the center of the once vast Incan Empire, exploring Incan villages and ruins. A scenic train ride takes you to the unforgettable site of Machu Picchu, set in a magical landscape of forests and high mountains, where you can walk in the footsteps of an ancient civilization. Upon return to Cuzco you’ll have your final performance and celebrate your tour with a farewell dinner.

Itinerary

8 Days / 3 Lima / 3 Cuzco / 1 Aguas Calientes

Depart from the USA. Arrive in Lima, Peru’s capital city. Meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel for an arrival briefing and dinner.

Today is a full day of guided sightseeing, including the Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Martín, Gold Museum and Archaeological Museum. Visit both the San Francisco and Santo Domingo monasteries, exploring their catacombs, tombs and colonial architecture. Today you will perform your concert debut for the locals.

Enjoy a full free day in Peru’s cultural and business center. You may want to head south of the city to get a glimpse of the incredibly rich natural beauty that awaits you at the gleaming white-sanded beaches. This evening you’ll rehearse for your second concert in the Lima area. Dinner and overnight in Lima.

Depart on an early morning flight to Cuzco, historic capital of the Inca empire. An afternoon guided sightseeing tour shows you the ancient fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the Inca bath of Tampu Machay, the sacred spot of Kenko and the small fort of Puca Pucara. Return to Cuzco for dinner and a show at Restaurant Tunupa.

Journey on the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes, in preparation for your day-long exploration of the magnificent temple ruins of Machu Picchu. Surrounded by ice-capped mountains and forests, you’ll pass through amazing ruins. After a guided sightseeing tour, enjoy free time to explore the ancient Inca citadel on your own. Return to Aguas Calientes for dinner and a night’s rest.

Today is another full day of exploration, beginning with an early morning departure by train to the small, traditional town of Ollantaytambo. Lunch and a visit to the ruins of the majestic Ollantay fortress are included. Continue by bus to the village of Pisac to visit its famous Indian Market. Return to Cuzco for dinner and the overnight.

Travel south of Cuzco today to the resplendent valley believed to be the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the pre-Inca citadel of Piquillacta and the Spanish colonial town of Andahuaylillas. Return to Cuzco for your performance finale. Celebrate a successful concert tour over dinner.

Fly to Lima today for your return flight to the United States.
