Privacy Policy

Encore Tours and its parent company ACIS are committed to your privacy. While information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide superior service, your trust is most important to us. All of us at Encore Tours and ACIS are committed to keeping personal information secure and to using it only as you would want us to use it.

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect or that you provide when you visit our website or interact with our website or Encore Tours via email, text, or other electronic means. If you are traveling on an ACIS or Encore tour to Europe or you are visiting our website from within Europe, please review our Privacy Policy Addendum, which outlines how we comply with GDPR regulations.

How We Protect Information

We safeguard personal information. Employees with access to personal information are screened and trained. Our computer systems utilize customary industry security standards such as secure socket layer (SSL) and are monitored by trained professionals. When you provide credit card information, we use SSL encryption to protect it.

There are steps you can take to protect your information as well. Never share your password, since it is used to access your account information. Transmission of information over the Internet is never completely secure, and while we follow industry best practices, we cannot guarantee that systems will never be compromised. Transmission of personal information to Encore Tours or ACIS is at your own risk. We are not responsible in the event of circumvention of privacy settings or security measures contained on our website.

Personal Information We Collect

We limit collection of personal information to what is required to participate on Encore or ACIS trips and to provide related services. This personal information may include: name, mailing address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, gender, passport number, emergency contact name and phone number, and social security number for teachers and assistants where required. We also collect payment details when payments are made by credit card or bank routing numbers if you join our autopay plan. All credit card and bank account information is encrypted and our system is tested regularly for integrity.

We must have personal information to arrange tours. Anyone wishing to delete their personal information will necessarily cancel their participation on the tour and will be subject to the normal cancellation policies. To request deletion and cancel your trip, contact your group leader or Encore Tours.

How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you through our website forms, over email, by phone, at events and conferences, and through our partner and affiliate channels. If you request information such as a catalog, sign up for updates about our services, or provide your information in person, we may use that information to let you know about products, services, or offers that may be of interest from Encore Tours or our subsidiaries or affiliates. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the relevant link in any of our emails or by contacting us.
