Off all the many Baroque buildings in Eger, the Minorite Church is arguably the most beautiful. Stunning both inside and out, perhaps the most striking feature of the church is the wooden pews. They were individually carved by one man, Jozsef Stockerle, between 1769-70 and are all different with a unique story to tell. The church can seat up to 320 people and welcomes visiting choirs with sacred repertoire. Eger
