Located in central Madrid, San Jerónimo el Real, also known as Los Jerónimos, was built as a monastery in 1503 during the time of Queen Isabella I. For more than three centuries, the monastery was the site of the investiture of the Prince of Asturias, or the heir to the Spanish throne. The church was closed in 1836 during the War of Independence and subsequently used as the headquarters of the artillery. With such a vital history, it’s no wonder why our groups seek to write their own chapters in the continuing tale of Los Jerónimos. Madrid
