For those of you who have done concert trips to Europe and are looking for somewhere different: Dream big! One of the many exciting things that Encore Tours is constantly pursuing is seeking out new and unique destinations for international music tours. We are excited to be able to offer Peru as a performance tour destination for ensembles who travel with us! Peru: Land of the Incas Suzuki Strings of Columbus and the First Congregational Church of Bellevue have both discovered the treasure chest of unique experiences in this mystical, magical place called Peru. From Lima to Cusco and from Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca, these groups loved every minute of their guided music tour. Both performed to full houses in great venues across the country, ate delicious food, and enjoyed some amazing sights. Here is what they had to say… “With the several tours our church choir has done to Europe and Britain, the musical journey to Peru was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Peru is so completely different from our lives in the United States; and what an experience it was! The concert crowds of hundreds of people were unbelievable and would not let us go home. They were not reserved audiences like you find in Europe, but overwhelming in their response! The itinerary was wonderful, and what a dream come true to see Machu Picchu!” — Dennis Coleman from Bellevue, WA “The concerts were beautifully produced and were the highlight of the trip. The variety of the venues, big audiences and collaborations with the various groups were really exciting. Thank you for coordinating the exchanges with the various Suzuki Groups and schools. The concerts kept just getting better and better. What was so exciting to watch was how our kids connected with the audience at every concert. This has happened maybe once on a concert on tours in the past, but it happened here at every performance.” — Douglas Locke from Columbus Peru is a good example of the “build it, and they will come” mentality. Encore Tours worked to create a novel performance tour destination for our ensembles with great tourist services, beautiful venues, and interesting itineraries. Now, the big question is: where to next? Where is your extraordinary travel dream? Let us envision the future of Encore together. We look forward to hearing from you!
