With group billing you will receive an invoice with each participant’s balance and payment due prior to the due date. Choir Basílica Pontificia San Miguel Madrid This Basilica represents the Vatican in Madrid as it is the Basilica Pontificia de San Miguel. Built in the late 1700’s, it has amazing acoustics and is located behind the Plaza Mayor. The audience can hold over 400 people and the church has an historical organ located on the first floor at the church feet. It is consider among the best jewels of Spanish Baroque and is perfect for traveling choirs! Choir San Jerónimo el Real Madrid Located in central Madrid, San Jerónimo el Real, also known as Los Jerónimos, was built as a monastery in 1503 during the time of Queen Isabella I. For more than three centuries, the monastery was the site of the investiture of the Prince of Asturias, or the heir to the Spanish throne. The church was closed in 1836 during the War of Independence and subsequently used as the headquarters of the artillery. With such a vital history, it’s no wonder why our groups seek to write their own chapters in the continuing tale of Los Jerónimos. Choir Templo de San Cayetano en la Valenciana Guanajuato One of the best examples of Mexican churrigueresco. The temple of San Cayetano was built in 1778, next to the Valenciana mine from which it takes its name. Adjacent to the temple was built the convent of the Theatines, who never occupied the place, so it received various uses: as the vicars’ room, a school of classical languages, barracks, warehouses, corrals, etc. It now houses the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Guanajuato, which was in charge of its restoration. Currently, the church is used as a space for important musical events.
