Editor’s note: A version of this message first appeared on the ACIS blog. As we begin our busy spring season overseas, we look forward to providing the best performance tour experience possible. To us, that means even more than quality hotels and inclusions (though we count those too!): It means reassurance that you are traveling with experts providing support at every turn and delivering peace of mind to your group and your loved ones back home. On-the-Ground Resources We have an incredible group of fellow travelers who work at Encore locations around the world, from satellites in London, Paris, Rome, and Madrid to Costa Rica, China, Japan, and more. These teams are on the ground preparing for the trips and making sure you have what you need. If you have any travel hiccups, they will either personally assist you or connect you with the closest local Encore contact. And you’ll of course have your Tour Manager beside you the entire trip—they are like a museum guide meets a best friend meets an event planner! As we do every year, me and a crew of stateside Program Consultants, many of whom you know personally, will be traveling to meet up with teachers and groups. These staff members ride the buses, visit museums, and pop in for dinner, making sure the experience is exceptional. Our Culture of Care But no matter where you are in the world, when you’re traveling with Encore, you have a network of professionals on call to assist you through our 24/7 Duty Officer network. You can call day or night, and there will be a live staff member answering. Whether there are flight cancellations, lost passports, or even changing political realities, our team is ready to guide you through the next steps. The spring operation is one of the busiest parts of the calendar year. Across the world we will be in motion: I personally will be hopping on buses and visiting groups, so we might even get to catch up and grab a selfie! We firmly believe that travel changes lives and hope that by the end of the tour, you see the value reflected in your students. We’re a team looking forward to sharing this adventure with you and seeing you out there somewhere very soon.
