Day 1 Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2 Bordeaux

Bienvienue en France! Upon arrival in Bordeaux, meet your Encore Tour Manager and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy an afternoon walking orientation with your Tour Manager. Then this evening, enjoy a special welcome cocktail reception and dinner together. (B,D)

Day 3 Bordeaux

This morning, embark on a walking tour of Bordeaux led by your Tour Manager. Much of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage site—revitalized, graceful and a fine example of urban planning. Discover its historic center and the miroir d'eau, the world's largest reflecting pool. This afternoon, visit St. Emilion where you'll have a private wine tasting and visit to the vineyards. Return to Bordeaux for dinner and the overnight (B,D)

Day 4 Bordeaux

Today enjoy a visit of the Cité du Vin - a new generation museum where wine comes to life through an immersive, sensorial approach, all set within an evocative architectural design. Tonight, enjoy dinner together, then attend a performance at the National Opera of Bordeaux, where Marius Petipa staged some of his first ballets. (B,D)

Day 5 Loire Valley

Depart Bordeaux this morning and travel to the Loire Valley, home of the France's most famous chateaux. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour with your Tour Manager introducing you to this area and enjoy dinner together. (B,D)

Day 6 Loire Valley

Today visit Chenonceau, the chateau of six women, built over the River Cher in an exquisite Renaissance design. It features a moat, drawbridge, towers and turrets and great stories about resistance to the Nazi army. Continue to the mighty Chateau de Chambord, the sprawling creation commissioned by Francois I and designed by Leonardo da Vinci, towering over its deer-filled park. Enjoy dinner together this evening at a local restaurant featuring local Loire Valley wines. (B,D)

Day 7 Paris

Depart this morning for Paris. Known as the “City of Light” for its role as a center of education and culture during the Enlightenment. Today’s guided sightseeing tour shows you the majesty of the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, and Notre Dame. Enjoy dinner together, then take a walk around Montmartre. This cultural and artistic district is worth the visit for the bustling energy of the artists. (B,D)

Day 8 Paris

This morning is yours to explore Paris at your own pace. Perhaps explore one of the many world-class museums, or sample the best of French pastries whilst meandering along the Seine. This afternoon, enjoy a special guided tour of the Palais Garnier to learn the history of the one of the world's most famous opera houses. Tonight, attend a performance in Paris at the Palais Garnier (pending final schedule) and enjoy a champagne evening reception in Paris. (B,D)

Day 9 Paris

After a free morning in Paris to explore at your own pace, travel to Louis XIV’s palace at Versailles. This afternoon's visit of this renowned Chateau is completely private and closed to other visitors while you experience the Galeries des Glaces, as well as the King's Apartments. Punctuate this private visit with an exclusive private organ concert at La Chappelle Royale de Versailles. Conclude your visit with a special, farewell dinner together in Le Trianon Palace or the Waldorf Astoria before returning to Paris for your final night in France! (B,D)

Day 10 Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
