Travel under your own arrangements via land or flight, with your final destination, the birthplace of Country music, Nashville, Tennessee. Plan your travels to arrive in the early afternoon between 2 and 3 so you can meet your Encore Experiences Tour Manager at The historic Hermitage Hotel for check-in. Later this afternoon, your Tour Manager will lead you on an orientation walking tour in the nearby area to better acquaint you with your surroundings. There is time to freshen up before meeting this evening in the lobby and transferring to your arrival night dinner at Peg Leg Porker's BBQ, considered among the best BBQ in the south. Enjoy a casual, warm and friendly gathering where Wartburg Symphony staff will greet you and officially welcome you to this American classic city. (B, D)
Awake in Nashville this morning and enjoy breakfast at the hotel included for each morning of your stay. This morning, enjoy a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame which includes a one-hour recording session in the RCA Studio B. This fun and interactive session allows your group to cut a recording in the same studio where Country Music Legends like Roy Orbison and Dolly Parton have recorded Grammy Award winning records! After free time for lunch on your own and time to explore on your own, transfer to the historic Grand Ole Opry for a tour, a live show including a refreshing cocktail together during intermission. Return to the hotel following the show for the overnight. Dinner is under own arrangement. (B)
After breakfast at your hotel and a leisurely start to your day, enjoy a visit to the National Museum of African American Music. From early plantation songs to the birth of jazz, R&B, Hip Hop and more, this museum brings you step by step through the rich history of true American artforms. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to explore the city. Dinner is under own arrangement. (B)
After breakfat at your hotel, enjoy a half-day that highlights two more thriving and historic Nashville music venues. First stop is Ryman Auditorium for a fun and informative guided tour of the site that was the first performance venue for the Grand Ole Opry. Following this visit and time for lunch on your own in this area, visit the home of the Nashville Symphony, The Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The Nashville Symphony provides wonderful summer evening outdoor concerts. Pending the official 2026 schedule, one of these free concerts will be planned during your visit. The rest of the day is free to perhaps "set a spell" at the lounge at the Hermitage Hotel before meeting again with the group for a special farewell dinner at the historic Monell's Restaurant, famous for it's charm, southern hospitality and amazing Southern Comfort Food.
