On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Colorado Symphony will perform at Carnegie Hall with violinist Itzhak Perlman. The program begins with the New York premiere of John Adams’ Frenzy, a striking contemporary work, and continues with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, an orchestral showcase that transforms visual art into music. Set within Carnegie Hall’s renowned acoustics and historic setting, this performance stands as the defining moment of the New York journey. Sharing this evening with fellow supporters makes the occasion both personal and unforgettable.

Day 1 Arrival

Depart from Denver and arrive in the vibrant heart of New York City. Upon landing, make your way to the InterContinental New York Times Square—your luxurious home base in the center of Manhattan.

At the hotel, you’ll be welcomed at a private check-in desk by your dedicated Encore Tour Manager, who will ensure a seamless arrival experience. The afternoon is yours to relax or begin exploring the city’s bustling streets at your leisure.

Tonight, join fellow travelers, Chief Artistic Officer, Anthony Pierce, and other Special Guests for a private welcome reception at the hotel. Savor a curated selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, fine wines, cocktails, and more in your exclusive event space—a festive start to our time together in the city.

Day 2 New York City

Start your day with a full breakfast, included with your stay.

Later this morning, board a private deluxe motorcoach with Chief Financial Officer, Coreen Miller for a VIP guided tour of Lincoln Center, one of the world’s premier performing arts complexes. Explore iconic venues such as David Geffen Hall, The Metropolitan Opera House, and the David H. Koch Theater, while learning about their architecture, history, and resident organizations.

After the tour, enjoy lunch on your own in the vibrant Lincoln Center area before you return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon before the evening’s highlight.

This evening, we will meet in the InterContinental lobby for a short walk to the legendary Radio City Music Hall to attend a performance featuring Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony—a truly memorable collaboration in an iconic venue.

Day 3 New York City

Following breakfast, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art with your Tour Manager for a curated private tour led by an expert guide. Discover artistic treasures from across centuries and cultures. The rest of the day is free to explore the city at your own pace. (B)

Day 4 New York City

Enjoy a leisurely morning before gathering for a private Sunday brunch in an exclusive dining room at the InterContinental. On Friday, January 30, 2026, the Colorado Symphony takes the stage at Radio City Music Hall with acclaimed singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov. Led by Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, this special performance fuses Isakov’s poetic sound with the Symphony’s rich orchestral voice in one of New York’s most legendary venues. The featured video offers a glimpse of Isakov’s music and the artistry that will define this unforgettable evening with the Colorado Symphony.

Meet the Maestros

Peter Oundjian

Music Director

Peter Oundjian was named Principal Conductor of the Colorado Symphony in February 2022. With a career spanning five decades, Oundjian began as a solo violinist, and first violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet, followed by an international conducting career leading orchestras in virtually every major musical center in the world.

Christopher Dragon

Resident Conductor

Australian conductor Christopher Dragon is currently Resident Conductor for your Colorado Symphony. He  joined the orchestra in the 2015/16 Season as Associate Conductor — a position he held for four seasons.
