Evenings will be highlighted by remarkable performances, including the Colorado Symphony with Gregory Alan Isakov at Radio City Music Hall under the direction of Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, and a landmark concert at Carnegie Hall featuring Itzhak Perlman, led by Music Director Peter Oundjian. An Evening with Itzhak Perlman

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Colorado Symphony will perform at Carnegie Hall with violinist Itzhak Perlman. The program begins with the New York premiere of John Adams’ Frenzy, a striking contemporary work, and continues with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, an orchestral showcase that transforms visual art into music. Set within Carnegie Hall’s renowned acoustics and historic setting, this performance stands as the defining moment of the New York journey. Sharing this evening with fellow supporters makes the occasion both personal and unforgettable.

Itinerary

5 Days

Day 1 Arrival

Depart from Denver on your flight to New York City. For those opting to book your own airfare, your airport transfers to and from the hotel are under your own arrangements. For those booking flights through Encore, you will meet your Encore Tour Manager at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. There will be time to freshen up and enjoy your part of the Big Apple for the remainder of the afternoon! This evening at 7pm it is time to gather together in your private reception room at the Intercontinental Hotel as very special guests of The Colorado Symphony Executive Staff to enjoy a curated array of delicious hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, cocktails, wines, and more. Day 2 New York City

Enjoy a full American breakfast at your hotel this morning that is included with your room reservation. Later this morning, transfer by private deluxe motorcoach to Lincoln Center for a private guided tour of this amazing facility at 10:00 am. Guided Lincoln Center tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the iconic performing arts center, including its history, architecture, and vibrant campus. You'll explore venues like David Geffen Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House, and the David H. Koch Theater, and learn about the various organizations that call Lincoln Center home. The tours also showcase public spaces like Josie Robertson Plaza, Damrosch Park, and the David Rubenstein Atrium, along with its unique features like a vertical garden. (At the end of this special tour and time with Colorado Symphony Executive Staff for lunch on your own, transfer back to the Intercontinental Hotel Times Square. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore New York on your own. Meet your Encore Experience Tour Manager in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel at 6pm and walk the short distance to The Radio City Music Hall to attend the Colorado Symphony's special performance. Day 3 New York City

Wake up in "The City that never sleeps" and enjoy the included breakfast at your hotel. Later this morning, transfer by private motorcoach to the incomparable Metropolitan Museum of Art with your Tour Manager and the Colorado Symphony staff at 11:00 am. Upon your arrival at the Met Museum, meet your guide, who will lead you on your private tour of the museum's vast collection of art. A private guided tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) in New York City will offer a curated experience of its vast collection, potentially including iconic masterpieces like Van Gogh's "Self Portrait with a Straw Hat" or Monet's "Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies", as well as ancient artifacts, European paintings, and American art. Tours often begin with the Great Hall and delve into specific areas like Medieval Europe or the American Wing, depending on the tour's focus and duration. Guides will provide historical context, stories behind the art, and insights into the museum's history and collections. Following the tour, transfer back to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon and evening to enjoy the city! (B)

Day 4 New York City

Enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning as you prepare for an incredible private brunch experience in your private dining room at the Intercontinental. The hotel's executive chef and team will create a one-of-a-kind Sunday brunch experience for you to enjoy together as a group along with the staff of the Colorado Symphony. There will be a short break after your brunch before you meet again in the hotel lobby where your Tour Manager will be waiting to assist with the transfer via private motorcoach to the once-in-a-lifetime experience this afternoon at Carnegie Hall! The rest of the day is free in New York to celebrate the fabulous afternoon concert! (B)

Day 5 Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, your Tour Manager will facilitate a seamless check-out, and then you will be on your way to transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)

Our time together will blend musical excellence with special access to some of New York’s most treasured institutions. We will enjoy a private guided tour of Lincoln Center, explore the Metropolitan Museum of Art with an expert guide, and come together for a festive welcome reception and a special Sunday brunch with our Maestros and Symphony leadership. Radio City Music Hall with Gregory Alan Isakov

On Friday, January 30, 2026, the Colorado Symphony takes the stage at Radio City Music Hall with acclaimed singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov. Led by Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, this special performance fuses Isakov’s poetic sound with the Symphony’s rich orchestral voice in one of New York’s most legendary venues. The featured video offers a glimpse of Isakov’s music and the artistry that will define this unforgettable evening with the Colorado Symphony.

Meet the Maestros

Peter Oundjian

Music Director

Peter Oundjian was named Principal Conductor of the Colorado Symphony in February 2022. With a career spanning five decades, Oundjian began as a solo violinist, and first violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet, followed by an international conducting career leading orchestras in virtually every major musical center in the world.

Christopher Dragon

Resident Conductor

Australian conductor Christopher Dragon is currently Resident Conductor for your Colorado Symphony. He  joined the orchestra in the 2015/16 Season as Associate Conductor — a position he held for four seasons.
